WAPPY will be facilitating the workshop, 'Why I Write?' at the Hammersmith & Fulham debut Annual Writers' Festival. Full timetable to follow, though it's likely to be from 2-3 pm at Bush Theatre (W12 8LJ).

“Hammersmith & Fulham Writers’ Festival is excited about the upcoming debut Writers’ Festival, and are hosting a creative writing competition, leading to up to it, which was launched on 5th May. Throughout the day long event, there will be creative writing workshops, meet the author, poetry readings, panel reviews by the Lunch Ladies Book Club and Somebody Nobody Black Men’s Book club.
Why not submit your short story of no more than (three thousand, 3000 words) or a maximum of 2 poems. This year’s theme is ‘This is Me, Hear My Voice’. There are three categories
7-12s, 13-17s or over 18’s. Entry is free and there are prizes to be won! The closing date is extended to 6th August.
The festival will take place at the Bush Theatre and Shepherds Bush Library on Sunday 22nd August, and it will be opened by Anjan Saha, Arts Consultant, Poet, Musician & WAPPY Trustee.
