We are running a special Lockdown Life Session, 'Hair Today/Wear Tomorrow' on Friday, 4th September from 5 pm onwards to include a hair-themed quiz, discussion on what hair means to young people, then we will be joined by Derek ’De Cutter’ Clement (celebrity hairstylist, Afro Hair Care Expert: SHEAMOIST9, HairEx LIVE), Rudi Page (founder of Making Connections Work & Transformational Specialist) who will present a very interest talk on Black Hair Styling, Barbering and Hair Science.
Any poetry, artwork, and videos produced in, or inspired by this session will contribute to the 'Hair Today/Wear Tomorrow' panel discussion and event to celebrate World Afro Day on Tuesday 15th September, from 4.30 - 6.15 pm. This is a collaborative event with Ealing Libraries, SHEAMOIST9, HairEx LIVE and Making Connections Work Partnership, which will involve Black Movers and Shakers, Nicole Moore (who has published 4 books including ‘Hair Power/Skin Revolution’), Derek ’De Cutter’ Clement (celebrity hairstylist, Afro Hair Care Expert), Rudi Page (founder of Making Connections Work & Transformational Specialist), Akuba Quansah, Martha Lambert (Ealing Libraries) and a WAPPY host (TBC).
